Why are there some elements in the US army that take photos of themselves grinning with dead civilians?

sadly part of human nature . every army has some. propaganda win for any opposing force ,so those that have more freedom eg US troops tend to get found out. those that have no real freedom dare not even take a picture ..though many would like to . hence our worst enemies are often those pretending to be well behaved and civilised but simply hide crimes better.
