In California, convicted murderers such as the Menendez brothers, Scott Peterson, and members of the Manson?

family can ( and have) legally wed while in prison for life. But gay marriages are frowned upon and outlawed by 52% of the population, at least according to the vote. What's up with that, and how come one act is moral but the other one is not?
