I had a hysterectomy when I was 34 (uterus only) I am now almost 49?

My question is "How will I know when I'm going through Menopause? I've had mood swings all my life, so that clue is out. I hear not all woman get the hot flashes. Actually the last time I seen a Dr was when I had the surgery. (no insurance anymore) Any ideas, I can't find the answer anywhere, Many thanks
